Reception Celebrate Chinese New Year

Children in Reception took part in some brilliant activities to mark Chinese New Year . The children made dragon masks, lanterns, fans and new year cards. They found out where tea came from and tasted some with their fortune cookies. And in our very own Chinese restaurant the children ordered, paid for and ate Chinese food.

Author Inspires Reception

What a treat reception had last week. They had a visit from an author called Chris Madeley. She read her book ‘The Cones’ to the children and talked about how she wrote it. We think there are lots of great authors in Reception.

Fantastic week At Ingleborough

Just before half term our Year 6 children headed for The Dales. They spent the week doing all sorts of fantastic activities and were helped by a great team of staff. We are so proud of the way all the children behaved and worked with each other. As you can see from the pictures everyone had a great time and learned lots.

School Closure

School Closed.

The current risks of icy pathways and roads, coupled with forecast for more snow today, poses too great a health and  safety risk and I hope a decision now reduces anxiety for parents.
