Stay Safe! Speak Out!

Our children had two assemblies today with visitors from the NSPCC. The message all the children received was that they should always feel safe. If they don’t they should speak out.

They met Buddy (the speech bubble ) who is the mascot for the message our visitors were giving. So remember  if something is worrying you STAY SAFE and SPEAK OUT.

Italian is Ballissimo At St Winefrides

Our Year 4 swimming team are all ready for the next Catholic Schools competition at St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College. They can’t wait to compete and join with some of the other schools in our partnership. Here is their film to wet your appetite.

Trainee Priest Shares Experiences

Our Year 6 children were lucky enough to meet Alex Nord who is training to be a priest . They heard about his calling to his vocation and how he works alongside Fr Paul in our Parish. They asked some wonderful questions and were inspired by his story so far.

Year 6 Have The Power

Year 6 visited Drax Power Station last week and discovered how much of the electricity in Yorkshire is generated. They had a tour and found out that half the power generated there starts as wood pellets called biomass. They had a great time and learned lots to help them in their science topic as well.
