Year 2 Celebrate Harvest

Posted on 13 October 2017

On Wednesday afternoon our Year 2 children sang and prayed with their parents to celebrate harvest time. They showed us where some of our food comes from and helped us remember those who don’t have enough to eat. A collection was also made to give to people needing help in the Bradford area.

School Council Elected

Posted on 6 October 2017

Election fever swept our school this week as our new school council were elected. After many great speeches each class in Key Stage 2 held an election. Not only did we get a wonderful new school council but our children also learned about elections and the shared British Value of democracy. In a special assembly this Friday afternoon the new school council was announced and received their badges from one of our governors Mr Readyhough. As you can see from our group photograph our school has made some very wise choices. Well done to our new council members!

Year 6 Roar Into Action

Posted on 19 July 2017

Five weeks hard work produced a wonderful performance of The Lion King. Our Year 6 children had their audience laughing, clapping and even crying as they told the story of the Lion King. With the help of dedicated staff they made props, sets and costumes. A team of three children even provided technical support by controlling lighting, sound and backdrops. A great way for the children to mark the end of their time at our school.

Fatima Group Visit

Posted on 14 July 2017

Our Parish Fatima Group met some of our Year 5 children on Wednesday afternoon in St Winefride’s school  hall for an afternoon of song, food and shared memories. Some members arrived in transport paid for by our Mini Vinnie’s fund raising team.  The choir sang and Year 5 children shared what they learned on a recent trip to St Winefride’s Well. A great team effort and a wonderful afternoon. We are looking forward to the next one already !
