Good Shepherd Prayer Cards

On Friday the whole school dressed in their own clothes as part of our fundraising for Good Shepherd. The children also bought a prayer card and added their own prayer. As you can see we had a fantastic response.

Stations of the Cross

The children at St Winefride’s School gathered together to hear and watch the Stations of the Cross. They were led in prayer and contemplation by the children and staff in year 3 . A magnificent way to continue our Easter preparations.

St Winefride’s Children Remember Palm Sunday

As part of our Easter journey the school held two very special assemblies. The children considered the events of Palm Sunday and how Jesus was greeted. To enhance their learning and understanding the children waved palms and sang. Mrs Walsh and Mrs Owen lead the two assemblies for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1. A wonderful start to our time in school this week.

As we moved through Holy Week the school considered the amazing events that happened at the last supper. We held assemblies and considered the impact on our lives of those events so many years ago.

St Winefride’s Children Celebrate Palm Sunday

We marked the start of Holy Week by holding a very special assembly. The children waved palms as our very own Jesus and donkey processed through school . What a fantastic way to begin Holy Week in school.
