Rugby Stars Tackle A New Experience

Some of our Year 4 children took part in a rugby tournament this week . They won the competition and showed great skill and commitment. For some of the team it was the first time they had played rugby. A great event tackled with brilliant enthusiasm.

Cross Country Trials Are Up And Running

Next week some of our children will take part in a cross country competition and as you can see we had lots of volunteers who took part in our trials. They ran their hearts out and showed great spirit even when very tired and hot. Log on next week to see how our team got on.

St Winefride’s Children Keep Fit The High Tech Way

Our children have been keeping fit by following the Joe Wicks School Fitness Week on-line. They gathered around school to follow his instructions on screen. Many of the staff joined in as well. What a great way to start the year !

St Winefride’s Football Team Takes Trophy

On Saturday two of our football teams took to the pitch in the Bradford Catholic Schools Five a Side Tournament. Our Year 6 team came up against strong opposition and just failed to reach the knock out stage. However the Year 4 children made it all the way to the final and took the trophy with a brilliant display.  A big thank you to all the staff and parents who supported both teams.

Gymnasts Reach Higher

Our gymnasts competed in a Bradford wide competition this week. We had a Year 4 boys team that performed wonderfully and came very close to a medal. The Year 5 girls team came a magnificent second and earned a silver medal for themselves and the school. Well done to both teams !
