About St. Winefrides
Mission Statement: To provide excellence in all aspects of school life, embedded in the values and beliefs of the catholic faith.
ST. WINEFRIDE'S is a Catholic school. Our Catholic faith is of paramount importance and affects everything that takes place here. Our school is seen as a living example of the Gospel in action. Everything reflects the message that Christ is the foundation stone of our school. Nothing can take place that does not ultimately relate to God. Our Christian faith is central in our lives and the basis of all our decisions. We want our children to see God as a loving Father with whom they can have a real, living personal relationship.
The Leeds Diocese Religious Education Programme is used in school to help with this objective. The programme begins with the children's experience of human life around them and shows how they can help create a better world by their faith in Jesus.
This approach helps us to live every day as people who love God and those around us.
Our Curriculum model is focused around 'Christ at the Centre' of all we do.
