We are proud of our links with the Parish and continue to develop and nurture them through enthusiastic involvement. The school holds Masses every Friday morning and hosts the Parish Fatima group according to the timetable below. The school community also makes regular contributions to the Parish Facebook Page.
First Communion Preparation
As part of their preparation our first communion candidates are learning Jesus you are bread for us. click on the links below to see the words and hear the music.
I hope you are safe and well.
I am grateful to so many of you for joining Julia, Maria and me for the launch of our First Confession Programme recently. I enjoyed the conversations that I participated in during that event.
I have become very aware that what you would like from me and the parish is some straightforward support for your own faith development which is stimulating, enjoyable, informative and doesn't take up too much time. And it's for that reason that, as I explained at our meeting, we are laying on four Zoom sessions for parents (not children), each lasting no more than an hour, using the outstanding, just-released Sycamore course. Please see the attached schedule for details. We are offering each session on two occasions for your convenience.
This may be stating the obvious, but if this initiative is to work, we need you to participate! And in my experience even the best-intentioned parents can become distracted. So, please be aware that if you wish your child to make his/her First Confession in the summer term I expect at least one parent to attend at least three out of the four sessions.
As we said at our earlier Zoom meeting, we will be preparing your children for First Confession in after-school sessions at both schools in June and July. Fr Peter and I will hear the children’s First Confessions in the week beginning 12th July, in school playgrounds if necessary, as last year.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
I look forward to getting to know you a little better during some of the chats which form part of the Sycamore sessions.
