Key Stage 1 Celebrate Harvest

We are so lucky to have such talented and thoughtful children in Key Stage 1. They helped us to think about the meaning of Harvest Festival and entertained their parents brilliantly.

Underwater Adventure

Year 4 braved the wind and rain on Tuesday morning to visit the Deep. They learned lots about underwater creatures. Here are some photographs  of the animals they saw.

Dinosaur Magic

Year 3 had a fabulous time this week when Steve from Dinostar museum in Hull visited. We got up close with dinosaur artefacts and fossils. We enjoyed discovering new facts and making our own fossils.

Roman Numerals Numeracy

Year 4 had a great lesson learning how to use Roman Numerals. They even recorded their work in pasta and on film. Here is a report from some of the children involved in the learning. They  took screenshots from video cameras to create this presentation.


St Winefride’s Children Stay Safe

As the nights get darker our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children are making sure they can be seen and stay safe. As you can see they were given a brilliant reflective badge to wear. They were kindly donated by a local business (Arthur Holdsworth) and delivered to school by Mrs O’Sullivan. Thank you very much for helping our younger children shine brightly on their way to and from school.
