Application Procedure and Timetable

The online admissions system will be available for Reception applications from 13 November 2023 until 15 January 2024 for children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020.  Online applications can be made by logging on to Bradford Council’s website, www.bradford.gov.uk and clicking on ‘Online School Admissions’.

If you have missed the relevant deadline, 15th January 2024 you will be unable to apply online. Please contact the Admissions Team on 01274 432772 for a paper application form if the deadline has now passed or contact the school office on 01274 677705 or by emailing office@win.bcwcat.co.uk

The school's Supplementary Information Form MUST be submitted by the closing date of 15th January 2024 to St Winefride's Catholic Primary School, St Pauls Avenue , Bradford, BD6 1SR. (Including a  copy of the child's birth/baptism certificate to complete the application).

Failure to complete the Common Preference Form would mean that the application is not valid and failure to complete the school's Supplementary Information Form could mean that the applicant is placed in the last criteria.

  • Closing date for all applications via the website (www.bradford.gov.uk/admissions) is Monday 15th January 2024
  • Parents/Guardians will be advised of the outcome of their applications on Tuesday 16th April 2024.
  • Acceptance forms must be completed and returned to school before Tuesday 30th April 2024.
  • Closing Date for Return of Appeals Forms must be submitted by Wednesday 15th May 2024.

In Year Transfers

Parents or carers living within the Bradford District who would like their child to move to a different school should first contact their child’s current school to discuss the reasons for the transfer.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan or Statement of Special Educational Needs please do not complete an application form. Please contact the SEN Team on 01274 439200 for advice.

In year applicants will also need to fill in an In Year Transfer form. If school is not able to offer a place you will be informed in writing of this decision and have the right of appeal.  You will also be placed on the waiting list.  Pupils wanting a place higher up in the school will only be accepted at the beginning of a new term and midterm transfers will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

If you have any queries regarding admission to school please telephone the school office.  Visits to the school are warmly welcomed by prior arrangement.
